Thoughts like violence break the silence. The silence of the mind. A mind in pause since the 13th of December. If I could freeze time. I'd freeze it then and there. In Oslo.

As I stand in the queue waiting for the doors to open, I feel every cell of my body aching and getting paralysed by the cold. Unpleasant memories come to my mind. I remember the disappointment when the cancellation of the concert in Athens in 2009 was announced. It was a sunny warm day in May. I was standing there at Terra Vibe all excited among thousands of people. Waiting. I was happy for having escaped from my work and beeing there, counting the seconds for the concert to start. I recall the excitment turning to agony and finally to a heart-smashing sadness. Back then I decided not to go again to a Depeche Mode concert. But my love for Depeche Mode is unconditional and their songs a part of me. And that's what brought me this dark cold day outside Telenor Arena in Oslo.

But this time Depeche Mode show up to our appointment. On time. They are on stage. In front of my eyes. LIVE. Mr. Dave Gahan, Martin Gore and Andy Fletcher. A total and breathtaking experience. No words to describe the feeling. Dave's voice penetrate the soul and steal a piece of it. Dance, dance, dance like never before.
Insanity.
Solemnity.

When the lights turn off the moment becomes a memory. Well kept in the heart. Forever.
Maybe the best concert I've seen so far in my life.
Can it really be higher than that?

Time will show. The next time has to be soon anyway. Until then, Dave will still have the voice that makes me cry... and the most sensually moving male hips in the world.
Cheers!
